Photo of Alexandra Graves

Alexandra Graves is a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and graduate of Santa Clara University. Alexandra has an M.A. in Counseling Psychology with a Health Psychology emphasis. Alexandra has 10 + years of experience working with children, families and adults in multiple settings including school-based counseling, clinic-based counseling, and community-based case management. In addition to working in a variety of settings, Alexandra has experience providing crisis intervention for adults with severe mental health needs, as well as supporting clients navigating recovery and treatment for substance use. Alexandra’s focus of work includes managing anxiety, treating depression, parenting support, personal development, self-exploration, codependency, coping skills, women’s issues, and relationship issues to name a few. In addition to Alexandra’s focus of work, she is also interested in mindfulness practices and positive psychology to support growth, healing and connection.

Maria Contreras, since 2011, has been the Administrative Assistant to the program manager for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Maria provides a variety of administrative support, managing EAP's day to day operations and scheduling most of EAP's appointments. Maria was hired at the County within the Department of Alcohol and Drug Services performing clerical support to the Health Realization Services Division and later to the Data Analysis and Evaluation Division.

Photo of Patricia “Trish” McGinnis Kidd

Patricia “Trish” McGinnis Kidd, LMFT has been working for the County of Santa Clara for 20+ years. She has been a clinical lead supervisor at ACCESS Mental Health, Addiction Medicine Treatment (AMT) and worked at 24 Hour Care Unit, prior to becoming the EAP therapist and manager. Trish brings extensive knowledge and understanding of the Santa Clara County System, she teaches a class on Addiction and the Family, is a guest lecturer at USF and maintains a small private practice. She has lived in San Jose most of her life, attended UC Berkeley, JFK University, is a Certified EAP specialist, Mediator and provides manager consultations.

Pallavi Shah

Pallavi Shah, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She holds a Master of Arts degree from Santa Clara University in Counseling Psychology with a Health Psychology emphasis. Pallavi brings with her 20 + years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families as a teacher in both public and private school settings. As a therapist, Pallavi has experience working with people of all ages, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds. Pallavi is fluent in and can provide therapy in Gujarati and Hindi. Pallavi uses a person-centered approach and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness to join in with the client and provide a warm and safe therapeutic environment.
